Biography
Albert F. Brown was born September 2, 1879 in Roanoke, Illinois to Cyrus and Laura Brown. In Roanoke, Albert served as assistant postmaster and became a letter carrier after moving to Boise, Idaho in 1907. Brown was an active member of the Immanuel Methodist Church and Boise Camera Club. He died January 21, 1963. His remains were placed in Morris Hill Mausoleum.

This collection contains 191 photographic negatives and 307 photographic prints for a total of 316 unique images. 39 of the images are in color, the remainder are in black and white. Most of the photographs were captured by mail carrier and amateur photographer Albert F. Brown of Boise, Idaho. Subjects include street views of Boise, construction projects, fairs, and rodeos. This collection also contains images of Brown's family and portraits of Brown himself.
