Historical Note
Located at 648 N. Garfield Street in Pocatello, Idaho, the Standrod House is a 3252 square foot structure which was home to the Standrod family from 1901 until 1946. Different acccounts tate that the house took anywhere from 2 to 7 years to build, may or may not have been designed by a "famous" San Francisco architect, and may or may not have been built of locally quarried rock and imported marble.
When the Standrods died, the house was illed to a relative, fell into disrepair, and was later sold to another party. The house was purchased by the city and restored in the 1970s in celebration of the bicentennial.
