Historical Note
The purpose of the Woman's Civic Club of Boise, Idaho is to promote social and intellectural culture among the members and to engage in any civic project for the betterment of the community. The club originally organized as the Columbian Junior Matrons Club in November 1955. In January 1956 the copy reorganized as the Woman's Civic Club. A 1971 Certificate of Incorporation indicates the official club name as the Woman's Civic Club of Boise, Idaho, Inc.
