Chinese in Idaho collection
Summary
This collection contains books, documents, financial records, letters, and papers that document Chinese immigrant organizations and businesses. The book collection contains more than 200 books including works in literature, religion, medicine and education textbooks. Records and publications of local and national Chinese organizations such as Hip Sing and Hop Sing are included in this collection. Local business records are also included and of particular interest are the Ah Fong Apothecary files that include medical texts and patient records. In addition the collection contains much miscellaneous material such as correspondence, periodicals and photographs. Includes materials in both English and Chinese.
