General Note
Edward Fairfax Tucker was born in Bellevue, Idaho in 1881. In 1885 his mother died and he was adopted by his grandmother, Laura Conway Tucker of Ketchum, Idaho. Laura Tucker edited Ketchum's newspaper, the Keystone for several years in the late 1890's. Edward Tucker owned a grocery store in Ketchum, 1901-1904. In 1904-1906 he operated a store in Kimberly for Governor Frank Gooding; Laura and Edward lived in Boise during 1906-1907, after which they moved to Portland, and then to San Francisco.
