Summary

This collection contains a typescript and CD copy of Libby Lok's history of her family in Idaho City, Idaho. Low Lok Kee, the author's great great great grandfather, was born in China in 1827 and immigrated to the United States in 1827. He was a Chinese merchant in Idaho City from the 1870s until 1907 when he returned to China. This thesis explores one Chinese family's experience in a western mining community. The text includes photographs and a Low family time line. Two color photographs of the author and other family members are included in the collection.
