The Idaho State Grange collection consists of minute books, framed and non-framed certificates, awards and member lists. There is an accumulation of records from 96 non-active granges from across Idaho. The majority of the collection is the minute and financial books.

Background
The Idaho State Grange is a permanent chapter branched from the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry. It is a fraternal organization that is in advocacy for economic and community agriculture. They are a policy group, not a political affiliated group. They press issues in concern of free trade and farm policy. Their mission statement is “The Grange provides opportunities for individuals and families to develop to their highest potential in order to build stronger communities and states, as well as a stronger nation”. This collection consists of non-active granges within Idaho but Idaho still has 26 active granges throughout the state.
