This collection of materials pertaining to Franklin High School, the graduating class of 1943 and the Cleveland Family were gathered by Tempa Simmonsen (Cleveland), nicknamed Tweetie by her father as seen on the backs of many photos in the collection).
Tampa Simmonsen was born in 1925 and attended Franklin School from the first grade through graduation. Following her education, Tempa lived in a home on Bethel on the Boise Bench for over fifty years with her husband Wesley Simmonsen.
Together, they had four children, one of whom, Joyce Armstrong (Simmonsen) donated these materials to Angie Davis and her research on Boise Bench History following the passing of her mother in 2014. Later, in 2021, Angie surrendered the collection from her care, donating it to the Idaho State Archives due to the difficulty of locating information on Franklin High School after its demolition in 2008.
