Content Description
This collection contains more than 1,400 black and white photographic prints documenting the life of Laeta Jaques, a resident of Boise, Idaho from 1901-1915 and again from 1935-1975. Albums G-99, G-100, and G-107 contain images of family and friends of Laeta during her second marriage to Rothert R. McBride, an undertaker from Des Moines, Iowa. Albums G-101 to G-105 are comprised of ephemera from trips Laeta took throughout the state of California. Albums G-106 and G-108 contain images of Laeta Jaques and Rothert McBride's trip to Idaho and back home to Des Moines, Iowa. Finally, album G-110 is comprised of images of family and friends of Laeta Jaques during her first marriage to Benjamin Clyde Eagleson of Boise, Idaho. The images within this album trace the arc of the Eagleson's life in Boise, from their marriage in 1901, to the couple's first house, spending time with family and friends, and ultimately the couple's separation in 1915.
Subjects include family photos, camping images, landscapes, and portraits.
