Postcards: unidentified with structures
Content Description
Collection contains approximately 220 photographic images taken in Southern Idaho between 1906 and 1911. The photographs were taken by Thomas Calvin McCarrell, who was working as a surveyor in the Twin Falls area, and the Sawtooth Mountain range. Many of the photographs have been converted to postcards, and the collection included the packaging for "Souvenir Postal Cards" at Bedford Drug Co. in Twin Falls, Idaho. Some of the photographs and postcards have identification on the back. The images depict subjects typical to the experience of an early surveyor working in south-central Idaho, such as campsites, roads, and dams, open scenery that include rivers, mountains, and lake, Perrine's ferry, the Perrine and Hollister families, and other views of early towns. Images of Yellowstone Park are featured as well.
