Scope and Contents

"Began driving stage for Press Roberts at Liberty, Mo., Dec. 1859. Left Kansas City, May 7, 1860, crossed plains to Santa Fe. Remained in Mexico until the spring of 1861, then to Denver and worked on Overland spring of 1862. Drove the last mail coach that left Achison for the Pacific North West, 1866. Came to Idaho, worked for John Hailey, 1876. By permission of Gov. Brady, hoisted the Irish Flag at the State House, St. Patrick's Day 1910
