History
Twin Falls County was established in 1907 from Cassia County and is located in south-central Idaho on the Snake River Plain. The county seat, Twin Falls, grew rapidly after the Milner Dam and Twin Falls Canal irrigation project opened the land to farming in 1905. Agriculture has been central to the county’s economy, and county government has overseen courts, taxation, law enforcement, and other civic functions that reflect the region’s growth and development.
