One damaged black and white photograph and negative of Burke, Idaho. Burke was established in 1887 as a mining town for silver, lead, and zinc. The Hecla, Star, and Hercules Silver mines operated out of Burke. The last mine in Burke closed in 1991.

The following items were brought to the Nez Perce County Historical Society and Museum by Paul Krause, Director of the Lewis Clark State College Library. The items are part of the "Talkington Museum" collection. The college no longer maintains a museum and were transferred to the Idaho State Historical Society. Images are of the Representatives of 12th Session of Idaho Legislators and the first building in Boise built in 1910.
