The papers of Daniel W. Applegate were donated to the Idaho State Historical Society by his daughter, Susan Applegate, in November 2003. Dylan McDonald processed the collection in November 2003.Spanning from 1929 to 1995, the bulk of the Applegate collection runs between 1934 and 1959. Photograph albums of Leo G. Thompson. Thompson was an engineer for the Idaho State Highway Department and was Ada County Engineer when the W.P.A. built the Bureau of Reclamation building on Fairview near the old fairgrounds. Thompson died in 1963. The album contains pictures of army life, construction and logging. Pictures are mainly along the north and south highway.
