Log cabins

This collection contains ten color photographic prints taken in and around Washington Basin by Clarence Hayden during what appears to be a hunting trip. Subjects include scenic views of Washington Basin and sagebrush country near the Salmon Falls irrigation tract, several unidentified log cabins, and Balanced Rock near Buhl, Idaho.

This 8" x 10" color photograph of a V-notch log cabin near Sawtooth City, Idaho was taken by Laurence E. Young in 1976. The logs are joined by a Y-notch on the ends, and wood shingles line the roof. A single small entry can be seen at the closest corner of the structure, and a pine tree has grown alongside. The cabin and its former residents are unidentified.
