E. Jane Gay papers
These papers contain original, typescript, and copies of letters written by E. Jane Gay during her residence on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in Idaho, 1889-1892. Also included are notes and marginal notes. The recipients of the correspondence are not specifically identified but research indicates the original letters were sent to family and friends in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. The collection represents the working copy of a manuscript entitled "Choup-nit-ki."
Emma Angell Drake papers
This collection consists of a carbon copy of "From Angell Genealogy" (5 leaves, n.d.); photocopy of a letter (1 leaf, 1959) from R. D. Drysdale to his daughter, Roxey Drysdale, describing his memories of Emma Drake (his grandmother); a typescript entitled, "In Memoriam" (16 leaves, 1932), an autobiography prepared by Emma Angell Drake; and a letter (1 leaf, 2004) from the donor to Troy Reeves of the Idaho State Historical with an explanation of the documents in the collection.
