Letters sent to Meta E. Gammon from 1918 to 1919, which chronicle the war-time journeys of two Northwestern soldiers assigned to the US Armed Forces Medical Department. The collection is stored in one record box, divided by originator: letters from Sergeant Ralph E. Gerber are in a cardboard "Letters" box; letters from Private Grant D. Godrey are stored in a single file folder. The collection also contains three Christmas greeting cards, none signed.

This collection comprises an assortment of correspondence, postcards, photos, diary, and assorted papers of Sergeant Ralph Beaumont Atherton, 1916 -1920.

Personal letters from Thomas E. Davis to his sister, Adelphia Sylvester, written while he was stationed in Denver with Company "E" of the Colorado 1st Cavalry.
