Summary
Collection contains reports and corresondence from April to December 1908, while Hayes was doing survey work for the Twin Falls North Side Land and Water Company. Most of Hayes' corresondence is with Paul S. A. Bickel, chief engineer.

Biographical Note
John Hayes was born in 1877 at Kirkwood, Mo. He was a member of the survey crew that established the route of the canal system on the Twin Falls tract and made the original survey for the city. He served as city engineer, manager of the Twin Falls Canal Company, and served three terms as county surveyor. In later years, he owned a surveying business. He married Anna Elizabeth Hansen in 1905. He died at Twin Falls on April 22, 1962.
