General Note

Keck's parents, Thomas and Lucy Evans, settled in Payette County in 1908. They left the area in 1909, then returned when the Black Canyon Irrigation District was established in 1938. Keck and her husband, Sherman Keck, homesteaded in the area in 1940 and she lived there until 1991.
