Content Description

Letters sent to Meta E. Gammon from 1918 to 1919, which chronicle the war-time journeys of two Northwestern soldiers assigned to the US Armed Forces Medical Department. The collection is stored in one record box, divided by originator: letters from Sergeant Ralph E. Gerber are in a cardboard "Letters" box; letters from Private Grant D. Godrey are stored in a single file folder. The collection also contains three Christmas greeting cards, none signed.

Condition Description

Overall condition is good. Letters are in great condition, although three have faded script. Some envelopes are torn or coming apart at glued seams.
