Text on back of photograph: "Point on Salmon, now called Pine Creek. Farthest point on Salmon River that Clark reached before he decided to turn back. Capt. Clark and his guide To-Bee decided to turn back because of the impassibility of the country. Decided to return to mowth [sic] of Lemhi Aug 25th and 26th, 1805. Presented by Percy Anderson, Salmon, Idaho. Three pictures within three miles of each other"
