Content Description

This collection contains 191 photographic negatives and 307 photographic prints for a total of 316 unique images. 39 of the images are in color, the remainder are in black and white. Most of the photographs were captured by mail carrier and amateur photographer Albert F. Brown of Boise, Idaho. Subjects include street views of Boise, construction projects, fairs, and rodeos. This collection also contains images of Brown's family and portraits of Brown himself.

This 8" x 10" color photograph of a V-notch log cabin near Sawtooth City, Idaho was taken by Laurence E. Young in 1976. The logs are joined by a Y-notch on the ends, and wood shingles line the roof. A single small entry can be seen at the closest corner of the structure, and a pine tree has grown alongside. The cabin and its former residents are unidentified.
