Letters and reminiscences, collected in response to a questionnaire concerning fishing, hunting, and wildlife management in Idaho. Also includes Edson's diary of a raft trip down the Salmon River in 1946.

Collection consists of an original letter (2 p.), envelope, and typewritten transcript of the letter written by Ruia Hurless of Grand View, Idaho. The letter is dated 12 March 1913 and addressed to Irvin and Louis Weckesser of Sterling, Illinois. Ruia Hurless and her husband, C.L. Husless, were both school teachers in Grand View, Idaho. The letter describes the weather and crops grown in the area. She also reports on sturgeon fishing in the Snake River.
