Negatives taken for the purpose of producing photographic postcards of Idaho views. Photographs were taken between 1945 and 1960 by photographers like J. Boyd Ellis of the Ellis Post Card Co., Perkins, Collins and Christian. Images span from Lewiston Hill, Thousand Springs, Nampa, Pierce, Orofino and various dams throughout Idaho.

This collection contains nine color photographic prints related to hotels in Orofino, Idaho. Six of the images are photographs of paintings hanging on the walls in the Lumbermen's Hotel. This collection also three exterior shots of the Lumbermen's Hotel and the previous site of the White Hotel in Orofino, Idaho

Accompanying a transcription of a petition (1861) from the citizens of Orofino, Shoshone County, Washington Territory, to Governor McGill, requesting arms and ammunition for protection against possible hostile Indians and a transcribed copy of the muster roll of Company A, Boise Rangers, Captain J.I. Standifer.
