Biographical / Historical
Dr. Charles Brokopp was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1971 and a master’s and doctorate in public health, in 1975 and 1977 respectively, from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Dr. Brokopp spent more than 16 years directing state public health and environmental laboratories in Idaho, Oregon, and Utah. He served as the State of Idaho Epidemiologist circa 1977-1990. His research interests included public health and epidemiology while in Idaho; this collection represents his interests in blood lead levels in Shoshone County and the Bunker Hill Superfund Site.
