Photographs depict a train ride from St. Maries, Idaho, to Missoula, Montana on the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (also known as the Milwaukee Road). One damaged black and white photograph and negative of Burke, Idaho. Burke was established in 1887 as a mining town for silver, lead, and zinc. The Hecla, Star, and Hercules Silver mines operated out of Burke. The last mine in Burke closed in 1991.
