This collection contains five black and white photographic prints of activities and participants of Music Week in Boise, Idaho. Images include two shots of the cast of "The White Buffalo Maiden," a one-act opera that premiered for the first time during Music Week in 1923.

Biographical / Historical

"The White Buffalo Maiden" is a one-act opera composed by Eugene Adrian Farner, conductor of the Boise Civic Fesitval Chorus and Orchestra. Farner collabroarated with journalist Alfred F Grubb, who wrote the original melodies and lyric poetry used in the production. The opera debuted for the first time at Boise High School Auditorium April 26, 1923 as part of Music Week
