This collection of photographic negatives were taken by Idaho State Historical Society Director H.J. Swinney between 1958 and 1961. The collection contains shots of ISHS tours, exhibits and work sites, as well as prominent Idaho landmarks.
Wilson Butte Caves near Eden, Idaho
This collection contains 43 black and white photographic prints and four black and white photographic negatives related to locations across the state of Idaho. Dams feature heavily in this collection, including Teton Dam shortly after its collapse in 1976, Dworshak Dam under construction in 1971, Albeni Falls Dam, and a dam on the Clearwater River near Potlatch Mill in Lewiston, Idaho. Other Idaho landmarks include Whitebird Hill, Boise Airport, and the Saint Joe River.

Construction of log cabin
Photos .1-.13 and .18-.19 were taken by Dr. Guy Atley who lived in St. Anthony, Idaho. He died in 1918. Photographs include Ashton, Marysville, Saint Anthony and various other unidentified locations. Photos .14-.17 were taken later, by an unknown photographer. Donated by Paul Gifford

This collection contains 191 photographic negatives and 307 photographic prints for a total of 316 unique images. 39 of the images are in color, the remainder are in black and white. Most of the photographs were captured by mail carrier and amateur photographer Albert F. Brown of Boise, Idaho. Subjects include street views of Boise, construction projects, fairs, and rodeos. This collection also contains images of Brown's family and portraits of Brown himself.
