These negatives are reproductions of the images loaned to the Idaho State Historical Society in 1977 by Boise Public Library.

Most of the photographs were captured by mail carrier and amateur photographer Albert F. Brown of Boise, Idaho. Subjects include street views of Boise, construction projects, fairs, and rodeos. This collection also contains images of Brown's family and portraits of Brown himself.
