The bulk of the images in this collection were captured during a hunting trip that Jess B. Hawley and James H. Hawley Jr. took with Will Regan and Fritz Hummel. The other images in this collection show snapshots of the Hawley children in the 1920s.

Several views of small towns in Idaho are featured, including Banks, Idaho, Cascade, Idaho, and Lardo, Idaho. Of particular interest are images of logging chutes used in early logging operations.
