Hells Canyon Homesteader Project interviews
A collection of abstracts, indexes, and transcripts to accompany 13 digitized video interviews conducted with original homesteaders of Hells Canyon, captured by Patricia Keith and Carole Simon-Smolinski for the purposes of creating the documentary film "Not a Day Goes By: Remembering Hells Canyon."
Digital files include video interviews, a digitized 16mm film from 1942, and two documentary films from 200 and 2011.
Hells Canyon trip notes
This collection consists of photocopies of illustrated notes documenting a trip down the Snake River through Hells Canyon in 1950 on the "Chief Joseph." Sarah Bloom Bothwell (1909-1957) was a passenger on the trip. Also included are three black and white photographs, one of the "Chief Joseph" and two of Sarah Bloom Bothwell.
