Ruia Hurless letter
Collection consists of an original letter (2 p.), envelope, and typewritten transcript of the letter written by Ruia Hurless of Grand View, Idaho. The letter is dated 12 March 1913 and addressed to Irvin and Louis Weckesser of Sterling, Illinois. Ruia Hurless and her husband, C.L. Husless, were both school teachers in Grand View, Idaho. The letter describes the weather and crops grown in the area. She also reports on sturgeon fishing in the Snake River.

This collection contains six scrapbooks, primarily newspaper clippings. In addition there are some black and white photoprints, programs and correspondence. The clippings are all related to then-current events in Boise. According to the donor, Edlefsen's secretary clipped news articles each morning to be placed in the scrapbooks. Each scrapbook is housed in a flat box.

Collection consists of one scrapbook prepared in 1927 by Ruth Caldwell. The scrapbook is dedicated to "my future pupils. Topics include: geology, Indians, fur traders, missionaries, gold mining era, the removal of the capital, origin of name "Idaho" Commission form of Gov't, Indian wars, and cattle days in Idaho. Includes index and bibliography. In addition to hand-written text, there are postcards, photographs, brochures, and newspaper clippings.
